How Do You Feel Right Now?
As a school social worker, my goal is to help my students identify how they are feeling, use words to express their feelings, and use/access coping skills to work through difficulties. Each of my therapy sessions begin with what I call a "mood check-in." I simply ask my students to tell me how they're feeling by selecting an emotion from this sheet of paper. I tell them that if they don't see their emotion listed, they can fill in their own emotion at the bottom of the page.
